Nicolas Esnault - Co-Owner
Arriving on the shores of Canada from homeland France in 1982, Michel Esnault recognized the need for high quality pastry, chocolate and baking equipment. In 1989 he founded a Montreal based company that he named Design & Realisation to meet this need, which is manufacturing and importing equipment for the chocolate, pastry, and baking industries.
For over 20 years Design & Realisation has continued to specialize in the provision of quality tools and equipment. By combining this with exceptional customer service and a willingness to go the extra mile, Design & Realisation are one of the leading names and trusted suppliers for chocolatier, pastry chef, and bakery chef equipment in North America.
Technology advances quickly and Design & Realisation has been at the forefront of these changes in the pastry, chocolate and baking industries. They were one of the first to introduce silicone baking moulds and polycarbonate chocolate moulds to North America.
In 1989, Mr Esnault designed the DR89 cake cutter enabling a full cake pan to be cut into 200 pieces within a single minute.
In 1991, he designed and created the first Chocolate Fountain for caterers. The introduction of this massive phenomenon saw Design & Realisation exporting products to countries all over the world.
Still today, with the backing of Mr Esnault’s sons Fabien and Nicolas, Design & Realisation continues to offer a high level of customer support and the kind of innovation that has seen the company become a global name.
